Pinal County Animal Care and Control will participate in the Just One Day campaign on Tuesday, June 11. Animal welfare organizations across the nation have taken the pledge not to euthanize any savable animals on that day. Additionally, the day is dedicated to bring public awareness to the plight of animals who end up in shelters and to help citizens become more responsible pet owners.
Greatly-reduced adoption fees on selected dogs and cats will be a special feature of the day. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, all shots and microchip. Adoption hours will be 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Pet owners are invited to bring their furry friend and take advantage of several special opportunities. Free rabies vaccines will be given for any resident of Pinal County whose pet has a current license or a license purchased on event day. Reduced rate microchips will also be offered. Rabies/License clinic hours are noon until 7 p.m.
Low cost spay/neuter clinic, by appointment, will feature dog s/n ranging from $60 to $100 and cat s/n ranging from $30 to $70. Plus, there will be a limited number of $20 discounts on s/n done that day for cats/dogs with current license and registered microchip.
