High school district food service strives for good meals, fast

Former hotel sous-chef Jeff Stempak had a problem: Casa Grande Union High School District students said the food service lines were too slow and there weren’t enough options.

Stempak, who became the district’s Summit Food Service manager in 2012, had spent a year observing the system and surveying students.
