Submitted photo, Earlier this month, members of the Arizona City Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints completed a community service project. They cleaned up the vacant lots and easement routes around Toltec Elementary School. The group felt that such a large dumpster would never be filled, but by 9:00 a.m., there was virtually no room left. Juice, milk and muffins were provided at the project’s end. The Ward thanked all of the Arizona City members and friends who helped with the project, along with Arizona City Sanitation who provided and picked up the container.
On Saturday, August 7, 2010, members of the Arizona City Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints completed a community service project. They wanted to clean up the vacant lots and easement routes around Toltec Elementary School.

The purpose of the project was two fold. First, to establish an atmosphere of cleanliness and neatness for the students attending Toltec Elementary and second, performing a community service that would be contributory and uplifting to the neighborhood.

Some 24 hardy souls worked from 7-9 a.m. in order to accomplish this project. The group felt that such a large dumpster would never be filled, but by 9:00 a.m., there was virtually no room left at the top without some major overflow. Juice, milk and muffins were provided at the project’s end.

We were all blessed with cooler temperatures and overcast skies so that our duties were considerably made more enjoyable. Our Ward thanks all of the Arizona City members and friends who helped with the project, along with Arizona City Sanitation who provided and picked up the container.
