A nonpartisan forum on the Casa Grande Elementary School District’s budget override election will begin at 6:30 tonight at Cottonwood Elementary School, 1667 N. Kadota Ave.

The district is asking its voters on Tuesday to approve the continuation of a 10 percent maintenance and operations override. It has been used since 2000 to make staff salaries competitive with other school districts and to fund performance-based pay tied to student academic performance and customer service.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear more about how the override funds are used and to present all viewpoints about the issue.
